The "Little Frog Catcher" led an all-female gang in the 1870s, consisting mostly of ex-prostitutes, all of whom had vowed to have no further sexual dealings with men. Bonney met her end mysteriously: it is presumed her assassin worked for those Barbary Coast interests who thrived on white slavery.
